LD Systems MAILA Compact Array System used for Bengaluru Habba Inauguration

Bengaluru, Karnataka – An advanced LD Systems MAILA compact line-array system was recently deployed for an extravagant cultural event at Vidhana Soudha, the legislative assembly building of the Government of Karnataka.

The system was implemented as the main PA solution providing consistent coverage for the wide audience seating while minimising any obstruction of the stage due to its compact size.

System Configuration

The supplied system comprises:

• 18 × LD Systems MAILA SAT full-range modular line array elements

• 4 × LD Systems MAILA Subwoofers

• 4 × LD Systems SPA Series Power Amplifiers

Additional 8 units of LD Systems MAUI 44 G2 were also used as fills for the extreme ends of the audience area as well as on stage for monitoring.

This configuration delivers controlled vertical dispersion, consistent horizontal coverage, and high SPL capability while maintaining a compact and slim physical footprint.

Project Overview

The project was executed for the Government of Karnataka, with Laughing Water Productions (LWP) serving as the event production partner responsible for system integration and deployment.

A key requirement from the client was the use of a slim-profile sound reinforcement system that would complement the architectural and ceremonial environment of Vidhana Soudha building without visual intrusion, while still providing:

• High speech intelligibility

• Uniform audience coverage

• Adequate headroom for musical and cultural programs

• Reliable performance in large-scale outdoor and semi-outdoor conditions

The LD Systems MAILA platform was selected due to its modular design, high acoustic efficiency, and discreet form factor.
